Nokia recalls 14 million phone chargers

Nokia announced a recall on 14 million cell phone chargers that are a potential shock hazard to users. They will replace all of the recalled chargers for free, according to an article on pcworld.com.

50 Years of Rock and Roll

Fifty Years of Rock, a traveling art exhibit organized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, is at Lynchburg College until Dec. 13. The exhibit features a collection of vintage posters and instruments and is on display in the Daura Art Gallery.

GOP wins several VA elections

Less than an hour after polls closed in Virginia, Republican Bob McDonnell was declared the winner of the race for governor in the commonwealth at 8 p.m. and at 9 p.m. the Lynchburg News and Advance declared Republican Scott Garrett the winner in the race for 23rd district delegate.

Gun-Surrender Program in Lynchburg

Lynchburg citizens who surrender firearms are entered into a raffle for a chance to win a refurbished car. Man exposes himself around college campuses

A male was reported to be in the women's shower room of 4th floor McWane while women were taking showers at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, according to a Lynchburg College security alert. Police say this individual is suspected to be involved with several other acts of indecent exposure in the Lynchburg area.
