Men's basketball tips off season with a 20-point win

The stands of Turner Gymnasium were crowded last Sunday afternoon as Lynchburg College students flooded the new "Red Swarm" student section to support the men's basketball team in their season opener against Ferrum College, a game that ended with a 20-point victory for LC.

Women's soccer in third straight sweet 16

The Lynchburg College women's soccer team advanced through the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament last weekend after they defeated Catholic University 5-1 on Saturday and Washington and Lee University 2-0 on Sunday.

Field Hockey and Men's Soccer capture ODAC title over the weekend

Shellenberger Field was busy last Saturday when Lynchburg College hosted two ODAC Tournament finals games and captured ODAC titles in both field hockey and men's soccer. The field hockey team secured their ODAC title first with their 1-0 win over Eastern Mennonite University Saturday afternoon, and men's soccer followed Saturday night sealing their ODAC title with a 3-1 come from behind victory over Roanoke College.

LC Equestrian team wins show at UVA

The Lynchburg College Equestrian team was busy last weekend competing in shows at both Bridgewater College and University of Virginia. The team placed fourth in the show at Bridgewater College on Saturday and was the High Point team in the show at UVA on Sunday, winning the entire event.

LC soccer teams begin ODAC Tournament play

The Lynchburg College men's and women's soccer teams advanced to the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament after both teams won their quarterfinal games last weekend.

Cross country teams win ODAC tourney

Lynchburg College men's and women's cross country teams won their ODAC Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31.  It is the men's second consecutive title and the women's first since 2003.

Men's soccer looks to end season on top

The Lynchburg College men's soccer team defeated Hampden Sydney College and Randolph Macon College last week to move their record to 13 - 1 - 2 and remained undefeated in ODAC play.  The Hornets, who have not lost since Sept. 12 against Mary Washington, look to close out the season this week on top of the ODAC polls and host the Conference Tournament.

LC community remebers fallen legend

It was a sad day for the Lynchburg College community on Monday, Sept. 7 as former soccer coach William H. "Bill" Shellenberger, a cornerstone of LC's athletic program died at the age of 88.
